28th Kazakhstan International Transport & Logistics Exhibition

INTERNATIONAL TRANSLOGISTICA KAZAKHSTAN 2024 EXHIBITION MARKED THE ERA OF TRANSFORMATIONS IN LOGISTICS AND TRANSPORT

FROM OCTOBER 9 TO 11, 2024, THE 27TH KAZAKHSTAN INTERNATIONAL TRANSPORT AND LOGISTICS EXHIBITION — TRANSLOGISTICA KAZAKHSTAN 2024 WAS HELD IN ASTANA AT THE EXPO IEC.

This is the largest event in the transport and logistics industry, which has significantly expanded its influence in recent years, becoming a leading platform for international cooperation, exchange of experience and presentation of advanced solutions in logistics and transport.

The expo event was attended by 213 companies from 19 countries, including such countries as Austria, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bulgaria, Germany, Georgia, India, Kazakhstan, China, Lithuania, Latvia, UAE, Russia, Romania, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Switzerland and Estonia. The National Stands of the Baltic countries - Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia - were in the spotlight thanks to advanced solutions in the field of transport technologies and logistics processes. It is noteworthy that both regular participants and newcomers, who presented their services for the first time at such a significant international event, showed particular activity. This year’s debutants were 51 exhibitors, including Gebruder Weiss, Unterer Ocr, Taklog International Transports, ABS Group Solutions and Global Customs KZ. Their participation emphasizes the growing interest in the Kazakhstan market and its strategic position in the Eurasian region.

Kazakhstan continues to actively develop its transport and logistics potential. 105 Kazakhstan companies presented their achievements at the exhibition, which clearly demonstrated the scale and capabilities of the domestic market. At the same time, 108 international companies confirmed their interest in developing cooperation with Kazakhstan.

The key indicators of the event’s success were the number and geography of visitors. Over the three days of its work, the exhibition was visited by 4,021 unique visitors from 49 countries, which once again confirmed the global significance of the exhibition as a leading site for professionals. Among the guests were representatives of public and private companies, international business communities, as well as embassies and trade missions, including delegations from countries such as Belarus, Bulgaria, Venezuela, Georgia, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, the UAE, Russia, Romania and Estonia.

The opening solemn ceremony of the exhibition began with the traditional ribbon cutting, symbolizing the start of this important event for the region. The plenary session was attended by key figures in the transport industry of Kazakhstan, including Maksat Kaliakparov, Vice Minister of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Murat Amrin, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kanat Almagambetov, General Director of the Union of Transport Workers of Kazakhstan “KAZLOGISTICS”.

An important part of the exhibition was the business program, consisting of 22 sessions, within which 102 speakers discussed key issues and challenges facing the transport and logistics industry. For the first time, conferences were held on the topics: “Development of railway transport and infrastructure in Kazakhstan” and “Transportation of bulky and heavy cargo - BreakBulk Kazakhstan”. The content of the first day also included the Business Council “Kazakhstan-Netherlands”, aimed at strengthening economic and logistics ties between the two countries, and the presentation of the OkLog system. Also, as part of the business program, numerous B2B meetings were held, where participants were able to discuss possible ways of cooperation and establish new business contacts.

On October 10, the busy business program continued with a number of significant events. Participants had the opportunity to attend the 1st Conference “IT Solutions in Transport and Logistics”, where experts discussed innovative digital technologies aimed at improving the efficiency of logistics operations and optimizing processes. The 3rd International Conference “Warehouse Logistics Market in Kazakhstan” was also held, where current trends, challenges and prospects for the development of the country’s warehouse infrastructure were discussed. In addition, a series of specialized seminars organized by TRANSEXPEDITIONS LLP took place on this day, and the Latvian SIA SIGIS presented its advanced automated transportation management system (ATMS), demonstrating practical solutions for automating logistics.

The final chord of the business program, on October 11, was a series of expert discussions in the EXPERT TALKS format. During these discussions, the results of the Kazakhstan Transport Week were summed up, and key areas and prospects for further development of the transport industry in Kazakhstan and beyond were identified. The TransLogistica Kazakhstan program included not only a discussion of current issues, but also forecasts for the future development of the industry, which made it especially useful for all participants.

The TransLogistica Kazakhstan 2024 exhibition showed that Kazakhstan is an important part of international transport corridors linking Europe and Asia. In the context of global changes in logistics routes and growing demand for transit transportation, Kazakhstan receives unique opportunities for further growth and strengthening its position in the world market.
