FlyArystan to start flights in May 2019

Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development Zhenis Kasymbek told when the flights of the new budget airline FlyArystan will begin in Kazakhstan.

“We expect that the first flights of the new airline will be in May. This will be a company affiliated with Air Astana,” Zhenis Kasymbek said at the plenary session of the Parliament.

“We expect that this year already the 4 sides of the Airbus-320 will be in operation with the new airline,” he added.

The cost of tickets in the budget airline will be two times lower than by Air Astana, Zhenis Kasymbek stressed.

“We expect that in the first year of operation, the new airline should carry at least 1 million passengers during the year, from May to May. In the future we expect that within 4 years the fleet of this airline will consist of 15 aircraft, there will be absolutely new aircraft. Of course, the level of service will be somewhat different, low-cost airlines provide a certain list of services, the rest for an additional fee,” the minister concluded.
