Air carriage rules changed in Kazakhstan

The rules of carrying passengers, luggage and cargoes by air transport have changed in Kazakhstan.

Amendments were made to the order of the Minister for Investment and Development of Kazakhstan "On Approval of the Rules for the Carriage of Passengers, Baggage and Cargo in Air Transport," on which the passenger must arrive for registration at the airport no later than 40 minutes before the flight departure.

For minors (citizens of Kazakhstan) accompanied by adults, an airline may ask to provide a birth certificate for the child, as well as documents proving the relationship and (or) the legal right to transport the minor.

There are also changes in the carriage of patients on stretchers, as well as disabled people and low mobility groups.

Thus, the carrier provides services for disabled people and low-mobility groups through flight attendants who have practical skills.

After the required registration procedures, a representative of the airline (airport) accompanies such people to (from) the aircraft, and the landing of disabled and low-mobile groups and accompanying persons on board the aircraft is made primarily before the announcement of the boarding of the main part of the passengers and disembarkation from the aircraft - in the last turn.
