KAZAKHSTAN AT THE CENTER OF WORLD TRANSPORT CORRIDORS: KEY RESULTS OF THE SECOND DAY OF TRANSLOGISTICA KAZAKHSTAN 2025
THE 28TH KAZAKHSTAN INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION "TRANSPORT AND LOGISTICS" – TRANSLOGISTICA KAZAKHSTAN 2025 CONTINUES ITS WORK IN ALMATY, CONFIRMING ITS STATUS AS THE LARGEST COMMUNICATION PLATFORM IN THE TRANSPORT AND LOGISTICS INDUSTRY OF CENTRAL ASIA.
The scale of the exposition, participation of 303 companies from 21 countries, national collective stands of Belarus, Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia, as well as 110 new exhibitors, emphasize the sustained interest in the Kazakhstani market as a key link in international transport corridors.
The importance of the exhibition for the industry is also confirmed by the attention from the state. Today, the Vice Minister of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Maksat Kaliakparov, visited the exposition.
He familiarized himself with the presented products and solutions, noting the wide range of innovative developments and emphasizing the significance of TransLogistica Kazakhstan as a platform for dialogue between the state and business on the development of transport infrastructure.
Amid the growing interest in the exhibition, special attention of the participants was focused on the business program. On October 1, it opened with the IV Conference "Warehouse Logistics Market in Kazakhstan", the key topic of which was: "Warehouse Logistics in the Focus of Change: Investments, Technologies, and Sustainable Development". The first block was dedicated to the state of the market and infrastructure trends: the shortage of quality warehouse spaces, forecasts for the commissioning of new facilities, and the development of dry ports, including Khorgos and Dostyk, were discussed. Speakers emphasized the need to attract investments and find a balance between the development of "heavy" and "light" transport assets.
The logical continuation of the discussion was the second block of the conference, which focused on digitalization and the implementation of innovative technologies. Participants discussed the possibilities of applying WMS and TMS systems, integrating artificial intelligence and Big Data into supply chain management, as well as the prospects for using environmentally friendly solutions. Representatives of state structures, businesses, and IT companies emphasized that the modernization of warehouse infrastructure is impossible without a systematic approach to sustainable development. The conference concluded with a practical part — a tour of the Burunday Container Terminal warehouse, where guests were visually acquainted with modern logistics center management tools.
The second half of the day was dedicated to the II Conference on the transportation of oversized and heavy cargo BreakBulk Kazakhstan on the topic "Trans-Eurasian Routes: The Future of Project Cargo Transportation on TMTM, TRACECA, 'Western Europe – Western China' and 'North–South'. If the morning discussions focused on warehouse infrastructure, the afternoon program shifted the focus to international routes and project logistics. In the first block, experts analyzed the challenges of the Caspian region — from the modernization of port infrastructure to the shortage of fleet and the need for coordination among participating countries. Practical examples of expanding multimodal routes were presented by specialists from Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, and Ukraine. The second block of the conference continued the theme of integration, focusing on the regulatory environment and digitalization. Participants discussed the simplification of customs procedures, the implementation of a unified transport and logistics platform, and the development of digital control of transit transportation. Special attention was paid to staff training and enhancing the competencies of specialists in the field of project logistics, which is an important condition for the further growth of the industry.
Thus, the second day of TransLogistica Kazakhstan 2025 demonstrated that the exhibition is not only a place for presenting new solutions but also a focal point for discussing key issues in the development of the industry. The visit of representatives of government bodies, active participation of international experts, and a rich business program testified that Kazakhstan is strengthening its position as a regional transport and logistics hub.
Official support was provided by the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan, JSC "NC "Kazakhstan Temir Zholy", the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan "Atameken", the Association of National Forwarders, the Union of Transport Workers of Kazakhstan "KAZLOGISTICS", the Kazakhstan Association of Carriers and Wagon Operators, the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport Central Asia, the National Association of Carriers of Oversized and Heavy Cargo of the Republic of Kazakhstan "Heavy Trans".
