On October 20-22, the 25th Kazakhstan International Exhibition “Transport and Logistics” - TransLogistica Kazakhstan 2022 - was held in Almaty as part of the Kazakhstan Transport Week. The event was attended by 161 companies from 12 countries - Azerbaijan, Belarus, Germany, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Russia, Uzbekistan, Finland and Estonia.
The guests of honor at the official opening ceremony were representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the organizing companies Atakent Expo and Iteca, and representatives of diplomatic missions, embassies and consulates general of the participating countries - Belarus, Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia. In his welcome speech, the Vice-Minister of Industry and Infrastructural Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan Mr. A.S. Idrysov noted the special role of the transport and logistics industry in Kazakhstan's economy. According to him, this sector is important for enhancing the interaction of a reliable partnership between Asia and Europe.
“This kind of exhibition contributes to the development of transport and logistics potential of our country, and therefore has a positive effect on attracting investment and developing partnerships with international participants”, - summarized the Vice-Minister.
Major suppliers of transport and logistics services, software developers, scientific and technological companies representing solutions for the transport industry, wagon building and repair plants, suppliers of equipment for logistics centers, manufacturers of warehouse equipment, companies engaged in cargo handling and warehousing, software developers, scientific and technology companies representing IT solutions for the transport industry, technologies for process automation and system integration, insurance and consulting companies presented their services and innovations for the transport infrastructure.
The current statistics of the expo-events shows a growing interest to the “Transport and Logistics” exhibition. Thus, in addition to the expanded geography of participants and growth of visitors this year, it is important to note the presence of national and collective stands of Latvia, Estonia and Novosibirsk oblast of the Russian Federation. It is also necessary to take into account the significant growth of the exhibition area in comparison with the indicators of 2021. The exposition has grown by 50%, the number of companies-beginners has increased significantly - more than 30% of the participants made their stands for the first time. Such companies as Unico Logistics, Zhebe Logistics, OZTM, First Cargo Company, Transgroup Systems, Trans-Sinergia and others were among the new participants who presented their stands. Representative of Zhebe Logistics Vitaly Shin shared his impressions of participation: “We have been on the market since 2007, our main activity is wagon affiliation and container transportation. This is the first time we are taking part in the exhibition, and it fully meets all our expectations. We have about 250 contacts since the first day, and 10 signed contracts. We like everything very much; we plan to exhibit with the stand next year as well.”
In order to effectively discuss the current challenges of the industry and plans for the further development of the transport industry, the organizers have formed a rich business program, the schedule of which included 1 forum, 3 conferences and 4 presentations. Gaziz Aydingali from Tengizchevroil noted the productivity of attending the business program. “We came to the exhibition to study the market situation on logistics as well as transport nuances, which are in the region, based on the current geopolitical situation. We attended the presentation of our colleagues from Russia, listened to what is going on in the Russian market, what difficulties exist due to sanctions and restrictions, what are the alternatives for transporting cargo both from Russia to Kazakhstan and from Kazakhstan to Russia, the connection between Europe and China. Everything was really productive, we enjoyed it, and we got answers to our questions,” said the visitor.
The V International Transport and Logistics Business Forum “New Silk Way” on “Transport and Logistics - New Opportunities” organised by the KAZLOGISTICS Union of Kazakhstan Transport Workers, supported by the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of Kazakhstan, the Committee of Civil Aviation of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan and NC KTZ JSC was held at Ritz-Carlton Almaty hotel on September 20. The conference “Warehouse logistics market in Kazakhstan” organized by DAMU Logistics attracted interest of the audience. ACEX Alliance organized a conference “Logistics in the new realities” and answered specialists' questions about vectors of development of the industry in the new realities. Considering the current geopolitical situation in the world and the breakdown of traditional transport and logistics chains, this topic was especially relevant to the audience.
The IV International Conference “Transport and Logistics Market” was held on September, 21. There was a strategic session on restarting of transport and logistics systems in the new realities, a round table with CEO and experts of large transport and logistics companies, as well as sessions on multimodal transport and rolling stock market.
Expert speakers from among the exhibitors held seminars on the final day of the exhibition, on September 22. IFC Colos held a presentation of the 4PL online service, and Transsystem professionals presented the Transsystem Consortium and the Gruzi Legko online logistics platform to the general public.
